The Rt Rev Christopher Hill, the Lord Bishop of Guildford (tbc)
There is a management Committee under the chairmanship of Revd Canon Preb Christopher Gower, The Director, The Venerable Ben Enwuchola, Chaplain who is a priest under licence of the Bishop of London, supported by the Church of Nigeria through the office of the Primate of Nigeria.
Council of Reference provides advice, support and community based experience or other consultancy input for the Director and Management Committee as requested.
PERSONNEL AND AREAS OF ACTIVITY
There will be two primary areas of activity for the chaplaincy, best illustrated under the two headings of community and congregation. It is anticipated that all congregational activity will be self-supporting and sustaining, while the community based work will be funded through a combination of civic, charitable trust, partnership and church grants.
The Chaplaincy Director will lead and oversee each sphere of activity. He will be supported by an Administrator, one half of whose salary will be met by the Diocese of London and the other half will be met through general Chaplaincy funds.
The Administrator will assist the Director in all aspects of the Chaplaincy. S/he will be a communicant Anglican sharing in the ministry of the congregation as well as taking on programmes and centre management activity as requested by the Director. S/he will likely be licensed by the Bishop of London. The role may, in the short-term, require a temporary voluntary arrangement or begin as a part-time role increasing to whole time as the chaplaincy and work of the centre develops.
